GENERAL RULES OF THE SCHOOL
- A student who fails to attain the required percentage in all the subjects will not be promoted. Reports of general progress will be given in the progress report. Promotion is granted on the basis of the whole year’s performance requiring a minimum of 40% marks. Hence, we remind you about the importance of regularity in attendance and the assigned work. The examination is meant to confirm the result of the year’s work. The decisions of the school authorities with regard to promotion is final. The school reserves the right to dismiss those students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory.
- Immorality, serious misbehavior grave contempt of authorities or wilful damage of school property is always sufficient reason for immediate dismissal.
- Parents are earnestly requested to see that their children attend school regularly and punctually. They are expected to co-operate with the work of the school by ensuring regularity and discipline and by taking a keen interest in the child’s progress. They should check diaries daily and note the teacher’s remarks etc. and acknowledge the same promptly by signing against the remark.
- Pupils who have been absent from the school must have the reason entered in the ‘information about absence’. page of the diary stating briefly the cause of the absence. Reasons of private nature may be submitted in a letter. A Student’s name may be struck off the rolls if he/ she is absent without leave application for a week.
- No Pupil may leave the school premises without the permission of the principal
- Every Pupil is obliged to take part in Singing, Physical, Cultural Classes, Games and co-currucular activities.
- Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. They should have them neatly labelled or named.
- Students are expected to behave in a courteous and gentle manner on all occasions. They should address their 8. teacher and all members of the staff with due respect and politeness. Good moral behaviour and gentle ways are prerequisites of every student. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct.
- Parents and students should comply with the requirements and regulations of the school.
- In the school campus and in the school bus students have to speak in English with each other if possible at home
- Students & Parents are requested not to offer any presents or gifts to teachers.
- If by chance some students miss their conveyance after school, they should not try to go home by themselves but immediately inform the school office.
- Running, playing and shouting inside the school building is not allowed.
- No books, periodicals, pictures or newpapers, except those allowed by the school, should be brought to school or circulated without the permission of the Pricipal.
- Parents are expected to make their own transport arrangements whenever students are asked to come before or remain after school hours for activities.
- Student’s participation in co-curricular activities of the school after/outside school hours is compulsory. Parents need to give in writing why they seek exemption from co-curricular activities if they so desire.
- Report cards are issued on ‘OPEN DAY’ set by the school. After this no cards may be issued to the student.
ADMISSION, WITHDRAWAL & PROMOTION
- As a rule boys/girls who are 3 years old will be admitted to the kindergarten classes. A corresponding age scale is fixed for the succeeding classes.
- A student who joins fresh from home or from a recognized private school has to produce original Birth Certificate or Transfer Certificate the in support of the date of birth entered in the admission form.
- A boy/girl who has attended any recognized school will not be admitted without a school Leaving Certificate from the same
- A pupil failing to be promoted may have to discontinue his studies in the school. A pupil failing twice in the same class must discontinue his/her studies in the school.
- Absence in one or more subjects involves the loss of grades and excludes the pupil from being reckoned in the order rank or from receiving a prize.
- Promotions will be granted on the basis of the whole year’s work and the annual examination of the pupil.
- To determine eligibility for promotion the average of all the examination will be considered. There will be no retest or supplimentary.
- Final results/leaving certificate will not be given to school fees defaulters.
RULES FOR DISCIPLINE
- Every student should regularly carry with him/her the school diary and must have their identity card with them. The school uniform is to be worn on all school days. Parents should see that their son/daughter does not wear the uniform outside the school when he/she is at home or elsewhere.
- All students must be in their classes before the teacher enters the class. During the absence of teacher the monitors of the class, responsible for maintaining discipline, must be obeyed.
- Students should take care of school property. They should not write or scratch on desks, chairs, walls or doors of the school nor should they damage property belonging to others. Any damage done to the school property must be remitted by the offender.
- Students should get their progress reports duly signed by their parents/guardian and show them to the school authorities within three days of receipt.
- Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without permission nor will they be allowed to answer telephone calls duringclass hours.
- A student who misbehaves in the school bus will be debarred from using the same.
- Electronic gadgets like calculators, cassette players, mobile, laptop, CD, pen drives, digital watches etc. should not be brought to school.
- Boys hair should be neatly trimmed. Fancy hair – cuts are not allowed. Girls long hair should be in two plaits.
- Girl students should not wear ornaments. They are not allowed to use nail polish, mehandi make up or grow long nails.
NOTE TO THE PARENTS/GUARDIANS
- Criticism of student’s teacher or his/her school in his/her presence should be scrupulously avoided, because it causes the student to lose his/her respect for his/her teacher, in case of legitimate complaint, meet the Principal, without fear of reprisal.
- As your child advances in age, guide him/her to become a resourceful and useful member of home and society. With this in view students will be assigned various duties in the school. Encourage self help for work and study. He/she should be taught to keep the room tidy. make his/her own bed, polish his/her own shoes, carry his/her own bag etc. The formation of such habits early in life, inculcates in the student the idea of dignity of work, a fundamental personal virtue necessary fora successful career in life.
- Absence of your child from classes for mere social functions is not recommended because it retracts the child’s progress in school and minimizes his/her respect for regular hard work with consequent failure to progress in his/her studies.
POINTS FOR STUDENTS TO REMEMBER
- Never ignore the lesson or home work assigned. If you do, it is like missing a train that you can never catch afterwards.
- Always revise the work done in class. Do not consider this as special assignment.
- Never postpone what you can do today.
- Be enthusiastic in doing everything. Live well by doing everything well. Do well what you do
- Show your school diary to your parents or guardian and get it signed.

EXAM RULES
- No child will be permitted to appear for the examination without the hall ticket. If the hall ticket is lost new hall ticket will be issued from the office with a fine of Rs.50/-
- If the student is caught for doing malpractice he/she may be debarred.
